Sound Healing
What is Sound Healing?
Think back to a time when you were moved by a beautiful or up-lifting piece
of music or song. Remember that feeling of connection or inspiration you
felt. How do you feel whenever you hear your favorite song? Most
people feel happy or start to dance. Music has the innate ability to bring
a smile to your face and can light up your day.
Sound Healing works in a similar fashion.
For thousands of years people have utilized the sounds and tones of various
instruments (including the human voice) to calm and heal the body, mind and
spirit. Music has long had the ability to uplift and release stress.
When you release stress, your body is more able to heal itself and you feel
better almost instantly.
Everything in the Universe is vibration, everything from the smallest atom to
the largest star is vibrating and vibration causes sound.
Your amazing physical body has it's own unique sound and vibration, each organ,
tissue and system in your body operates at it's own frequency of sound and when
everything is working well, it is like listening to the most beautiful music.
When something in your body is out of balance, it no longer is "in tune" with
the rest of your body, causing a harsh sound.
Sound healing (and all energy healing methods) act to "re-tune" the parts of
your systems which are out of balance so all the music is in harmony once again,
allowing your body to restore it's natural balance.
My approach to Sound Healing
I approach sound healing as an intuitive. I allow the spontaneous
expression of love, healing and prayer to flow through me as I play the piano or
keyboard. In this way I am tuning into Infinite Intelligence and allowing
it to dictate which tones and vibrations would be of the most benefit.
In addition to the sound healing itself, I infuse the music with spiritual
healing energies similar to Reiki or spiritual energy healing focused for
specific or general intent. I call these recordings "Sound Prayer"
because it is more than sound healing as usually described.
